I cherish my professional relationships and recognize that integrity is what my clients expect.
For over 35 years in private practice, I have represented builders, developers and individual property owners navigating the development approval and permitting processes as well as dealing with code enforcement problems. I have always understood that client service and straightforward communications are what matters most to our clients and that I can best serve our clients when a trusting professional relationship with elected officials and government regulators has been established. I cherish my professional relationships and recognize that integrity is what my clients expect.
I practice “administrative agency litigation” and the clients that I serve include production builders, custom builders, individual property owners and real estate developers, among other commercial clients who are interacting with state or local government regulators. My previous background in the public sector as a Senior Assistant Montgomery County Attorney and Administrative Hearing Examiner provide insight into the laws governing land use and development in both Maryland counties and municipalities and the process by which those laws and regulations are implemented. I appear regularly before elected officials as well as planning and zoning authorities and other regulatory agencies and, when absolutely necessary, in court.
I am an active member of LANDS – the Legal Action Network for Development Strategies, an affiliate of NAHB – the National Association of Home Builders and a life Director of the Maryland Building Industry Association. I am a member of the Maryland State Bar Association’s State & Local Government Law Section and previously served two terms as Council Chair.
I would welcome the opportunity to see how we may be able to assist you with your projects or other land use and real estate matters.
