Natasha M. Nazareth

The law can be incredibly complex and I work to offer my clients principled advice and practical strategies that are

tailor-made for their unique legal challenges.

My guiding principles are service, simplicity and satisfaction. Whether you hire me to explore new ventures, resolve a conflict, or optimize your operations, I will quickly build a relationship with you, listen carefully, and understand your needs as an organization, family or individual.

Advising businesses about the full range of their challenges is what I have always considered a personal strength. I enjoy assisting clients with labor and employment issues, contracts, risk management, regulatory compliance, non-profit and tax-exempt law, governance, bylaws and board policies.

I enjoy sharing my practical insights into the law: I have written a strategic perspectives article for Wolters Kluwer, teach seminars for clients and attorneys, and currently serve as the Chair of the Editorial Advisory Board of the Maryland Bar Journal. I am honored to have been recognized as a Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation in recognition for my demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of my community, the administration of justice, and the traditions of the objectives of the Bar of Maryland.

I am particularly passionate about investing in high-quality schools that prepare diverse students for their 21st century global future. I appreciate the business of education and the people who make a daily difference in the lives of young people. In the past, I have been General Counsel to a University of North Carolina system campus and the Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland, where I also led human resources and the learning support program. I continue to provide general counsel services to a variety of large and small independent schools, and I also serve individual families, students and faculty/staff to assert their rights in schools and universities.

Read a recent article in the Maryland State Bar Journal to learn more about my practice. If you have education, business or employment questions or concerns, please contact me. I would be delighted to meet with you and discuss how I can serve you.
