Overview

I am and always have been motivated by helping those in need with the utmost care, especially when it comes to navigating a difficult, sensitive, and complex matter.

I handle business disputes, commercial litigation, and family law disputes in court and arbitration.

When it comes to business dispute and commercial litigation, I offer a unique perspective given my background in business. Being closely involved in the operations of a business for over fifteen years, I truly understand what is at stake. I pride myself on my strong attention to detail, creative solutions, communicating concerns proactively, and maintaining transparency throughout the process to meet the client’s expectations. Prior to joining McMillan Metro Faerber, I worked as a commercial litigator and served as general counsel to a company. As a commercial litigator I was involved in helping individuals and businesses on matters involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, unjust enrichment, false advertisement, real estate disputes, professional negligence, employment discrimination, defamation, and administrative claims. In addition to representing individuals, I have represented boards of directors, pharmaceutical firms, restaurateurs, and construction companies. As General Counsel for an environmental engineering firm, I focused on transactional matters.

My ties to family law are both professional and personal. In addition to my experience at a firm in Rockville, Maryland that focused primarily on family law matters prior to law school, I witnessed countless people close to me entangled in complex and vicious family law disputes. I am passionate about handling family law matters as I understand the vital importance of listening to a client’s needs, paying attention to details, and following through on such sensitive and delicate matters, many of which can have lasting impacts on each family member’s wellbeing.

In addition to my experience as an attorney, prior to law school, I worked at several law firms, as well as for the Department of Labor’s Administrative Review Board. While studying law, I served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable William S. Colwell and the Honorable Stephen R. Henley, Administrative Law Judges in the U.S. Department of Labor.

For every case I touch, I understand the importance of investigating a matter thoroughly—with tenacity—and using critical reasoning to arrive at solutions. I welcome challenges and enjoy problem-solving. I am ready to serve your needs. I am also proficient in Spanish and admitted to practice in Maryland.
