A free conference call on Wednesday, December 3rd at 6:15 p.m. will provide important updates
In the weeks since same-sex marriage became legal in Virginia, I’ve been keeping a close eye on developments to understand how it’s working out for my clients. There is important information you should know about, whether you are currently married, planning to tie the knot, or none of the above. Many of my clients have asked me questions that also seem to be on the minds of lots of other people.
I have scheduled a conference call during which I will bring you up-to-date on the latest news. I will also answer questions from my many gay and lesbian clients in Virginia and will cover some of the benefits, risks and unexpected effects of marriage.
If you have questions that you would like me to address on the call, please e-mail your question(s) to my Paralegal, Taheya at TCortez@mcmillanmetro.com. To ensure that I have time to review your question prior to the call, please send it no later than Tuesday, December 2nd by noon.
I hope you can set aside time to listen in on this important call. If the time of the call is not good for your schedule or, if you have confidential questions, please let me know by e-mail. I’d be happy to respond separately to your concerns.
With the changes in Virginia law, it may make sense for us to review your Wills, Trusts, Deeds and/or Powers of Attorney and update them, if necessary.
I look forward to sharing this information with you.
