Bethesda Magazine recently announced the winners for their annual Top Attorneys issue. To get the results, the magazine polled almost two thousand attorneys in the Montgomery County area just outside Washington D.C. to find out which of their colleagues they would choose if they needed legal representation. The field was narrowed to 265 across 25 categories, who were then named the magazine’s Top Attorneys for 2021. McMillian Metro is pleased to announce that four of our attorneys were among those honored with this distinction.
Howard Metro for Business and Corporate Law. Howard, our namesake, is a firm founder and has been an experienced attorney in the area for forty years. Howard’s expertise is wide-ranging, from his work on sales, acquisitions and mergers to employment law, business planning, IP, and much more. Beyond his sharp grasp of the law, Howard has found both professional success and personal satisfaction by taking on challenges others considered unsolvable and finding his client’s workable solutions.
Judyann Lee for Community Associations Law. Judyann’s real estate practice focuses on the development and operation of common interest projects, including homeowners associations, commercial, residential and mixed-use projects, including condominiums, cooperatives, and timeshare resorts. With more than 20 years of experience with common interest projects, she is licensed in Virginia and the District of Columbia as well as Maryland. She represents community associations during development and after their transition to homeowner management. She uses her practical operational knowledge to help in the formation of these associations so that they’re set up to run in a smooth manner long after the developer has sold out the project and moved on.
Natasha Nazareth for Schools and Education Law. Natasha has an impressive record in the area of Schools and Education Law. She is passionate about making sure educational institutions help young people prepare for their futures and recognizes the practical need these institutions have for concrete legal expertise. Natasha has been general counsel for the University of North Carolina system campus and a variety of large and small independent schools including Bullis School. She excels in risk and crisis management, employment law, business law, governance, student affairs, and the full range of compliance needs faced by revenue-driven non-profit organizations.
Peter Ciferri for Land Use and Zoning Law. Peter represents clients in zoning and subdivision matters, and in other real estate development approval processes. He also handles commercial real estate transactional and leasing matters. Peter is proud to provide effective representation to clients in the challenging worlds of commercial real estate and administrative agency review and is considered a respected real estate attorney in the area, gaining recognition in Land Use/Zoning. Peter is also the Montgomery County Chapter Chair of the Maryland Building Industry Association.
