A. Howard Metro
With more than 35 years practicing law, Howard Metro brings common sense and insight to firm clients. He has been chosen to serve as a mediator and an arbitrator in many matters locally. He provides counsel to business and technology clients acting as an outside general counsel to companies of all sizes. He focuses on employment law, sales and acquisitions of businesses, transactions, entity advice, business planning and protection of intellectual property assets. Strategic planning and analysis occupy a substantial part of Mr. Metro’s work with clients. Having been selected by the Circuit Court of Montgomery County as a mediator, his recent work in mediations and arbitrations has been a great source of satisfaction.
Mr. Metro also assists clients with trust and estate planning in family businesses including structuring transfers of family interests to successor generations. He enjoys the personal relationship with his clients arising from careful review of their estates and matching planning techniques and processes.
We are very proud of Mr. Metro’s contribution to continuing professional education for attorneys by serving as President of the Maryland Institute of Continuing Professional Education and by teaching Professionalism to new attorneys. His work also includes shareholder disputes, providing advice and addressing minority shareholders or member interests, and advocating on behalf on his clients.
